A “finger joint” is a woodworking joint made by cutting a set of complementary, interlocking profiles into pieces of wood, which are then glued. The cross-section of the joint resembles the interlocking of fingers between two hands, hence the name “finger joint”.
This technic of (wood) decoration is often used for panels, floors, and wall decorations. It can be suitable for different styles of interior design and made from different types of wood.
